Fall Festival 10/10/09

September 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment

The fall festival is scheduled for October 10th from 10am to 2 pm at the school.  If it rains then we will have the festival on 10-25 from 1-4.  It is open the the public so invite your neighbors, family members, co-workers etc.  At the general meeting I had sign-up sheets for the following.  We will post these in the school on the door in case you were not able to attend.  Feel free to email me if you have in interest in any of these:

Cake or Cupcakes for cake walk

Volunteer to run a game/craft/or concession table at the festival (This is also good for teenage siblings to count for volunteer time if they are part of a group that requires this)

Tables to loan for festival

Set-up or Clean-up

We are getting donations starting to come in.  We still are in need of gift certificates for the Pick-a-Bag game.  This is a great fundraiser for the festival.  Each bag costs $20.00, but included is a gift certificate for a local company of equal or greater value.  You don’t know what gift certificate you will get, but we anticipate most to be more then your investment if not double.  Please remember to ask the company you work for if they would be willing to donate for the festival.  A personal connection always is more lucrative for a donation.   Cash always is accepted, but we will take items for the raffle baskets, food for the concession stand, gift-certificates, passes, etc.  If you have any connections with pizza places, beverages, or breakfast item stores, please let us know or ask them if they would be willing to donate food for the day of the festival to sell.

We have lots of fun activities planned for the festival to make if fun for the whole family as well as benefit our school.  We have games, crafts, fire trucks, face painting, bouncing slides, cake walk, prizes, pumpkin patch, etc.  Tickets are $0.25 each or 40 tickets for $10.00.  40 tickets will allow one child to do all the activities.  We will also be selling 50/50 raffle tickets for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. I will be sending out an email with a form to fill out to purchase tickets early so that you don’t have to wait in line on the day of the festival.  We will give out the tickets to you before hand or you can pick them up at the festival.

Class pictures are scheduled to be done in the spring.  There will be more information on this as the school year progresses.  Thanks in advance for any assistance you may provide.  If you have any questions, concerns, or want to participate in the fall festival, please email me at robenschian@verizon.net.

Thanks again

Day in the Life

September 11, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Hi CTP parents,

I just wanted to let you know about a contest that we are running at the studio that you may still be able to enter. Myself and my employees took pictures of our day all day and then posted a slideshow on our blog. If you took a photo on September 8th, (which many of you probably did since it was the first day of school) you can enter it into our contest to win a free portrait session. Check out my slideshow and the others on the blog (including some very cute photos of the kids with Diane). All the contest details are on the blog and you have until Monday to submit the photo.

Enjoy!
